When Joey is not doing accounting work, he is working as a volunteer in the Disaster Services department of American Red Cross, where he assists victims of natural disasters. Currently, he serves as a duty officer, where he dispatches responders on scene when disasters arise in Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey counties.
Big Sur Marathon Fundraiser
On December 8, 2025, Joey created a fundraiser page to run a marathon for Team Red Cross for the Big Sur International Marathon, which is scheduled to take place on April 26, 2026.
